Catholic Daughters of the Americas, founded in 1903, is one of the oldest and largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas with nearly 63,000 members in 1,250 courts. Our local court, chartered in 1973, has a membership of more than 120 members who volunteer throughout the year at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin, Texas, to raise money with which to support local, state, and national charitable projects. All Catholic women 18 years and older are invited to join the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

M I S S I O N   OF   C D A:

"Catholic Daughters of the Americas strive to embrace the principle of faith, working through love in the promotion of justice, equality, and the advancement of rights and human dignity for all."

 

Our monthly meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Parish Hall. Social time begins at 6:00 p.m. with refreshments, and the meeting itself begins at 6:30 p.m. If you are a Catholic woman age 18+ and are interested in seeing what Catholic Daughters is about, you are welcome to join us at a meeting!

 

*COMING SOON: We will soon launch a JUNIOR Catholic Daughters of the Americas (JCDA) group for those young ladies to serve together in fellowship, too!

Established more than fifty years ago in 1973, Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA) Court #2073 serves the women and parish of St. John the Baptist in Alvin, Texas. With more than 120 registered members in good standing, we strive to serve in a charitable capacity for love of God and love of neighbor. "Unity & Charity" is our motto, which we seek in everything we do!
